Dispute & Correction Policy
Operator: IGL Partners LLC · Working name: Broker Verify
1. Post-publication moderation
On submission, reports pass automated validation — required fields, MC#/docket format, and amount format — and then publish. Additional automated screening (duplicate detection, profanity, and PII filtering) is being rolled out and is not yet in effect. We do not pre-screen reports for truth. Human review is reserved for extortion, doxxing, and impersonation — not for judging whether a report is true. (PR-9.)
2. Reporter edit and withdrawal window
After publishing, a reporter has a short window to edit or withdraw their own report. The named broker is notified of new reports. (PR-6, PR-9.)
3. Raising a dispute
A broker (or other affected party) may raise a dispute on any report, stating the reason. The report is tagged as disputed while we review. We resolve disputes on the facts. (PR-6.)
4. Status tags, not silent deletion
Instead of quietly deleting content, we use status tags: Disputed, Corrected, Withdrawn, or Removed. Every change is recorded in an append-only audit log so the history is transparent. (PR-6.)
5. Broker right of reply
A named broker may post a public response inline on any report and on its profile, in addition to or instead of raising a dispute. (PR-5.)
6. We never monetize removal
We do not offer paid or expedited removal of reports, ever, and we do not suppress reports for payment. Groundless legal threats are logged and resolved on the facts, not on pressure. (PR-8.)
